There are many ways to find a Registered Speech-to-Text Reporter, for instance the AVSTTR Directory on this website, the CACDP Registered STTR Directory and also the agencies listed with the Agency Steering Group, this is a Committee set up by the agencies themselves to ensure a standard of service.

Please remember that an STTR has to be paid, even if you do not turn up.

If you have to cancel the assignment cancellation fees will apply. Try and give as much notice as possible. Cancellation fees are generally standard across the profession, with most STTRs conforming to the CACDP guidelines. Expect to pay 100% of the originally quoted fee if cancellation is made between 0 -7 days and 50% of the agreed fees between 8 - 14 days.
