When the STTR has passed the Level 3 exams they are then able to apply to be a Member of the Register of Speech-to-Text reporters and also a Member of AVSTTR.

The Level 3 examinations are QCA Accredited and are equivalent to A Levels.

Membership of the CACDP Register involves working to a Code of Conduct and Ethics and to be subject to the same Complaints and Disciplinary procedures as other Registered Language Service Professionals. This is to protect the rights of the service user as well as the STT Reporter.

Even if you chose to book your language support through an agency be sure to insist on a Registered STT.
